Whether you have your costume ready or not, Halloween is fast-approaching. With a number of events taking place this week through until the 31st, it’s safe to say Los Angeles is getting a little spooky. From Universal Studios’ Horror Nights (with creatures from Stranger Things!) to the Los Angeles Zoo’s take on Halloween, there’s a little something for everyone. Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios

Brace yourself for a terrifying night at the movie studio that invented the horror genre. Witness Universal Studios bring to life all-new immersive worlds of living, breathing icons from the most twisted imaginations in film and television. See the dark secrets lurking in the Upside Down from Stranger Things or try one of the spine-chilling mazes and pray you don’t get lost. This event runs until November 3rd.

 

Boo at the LA Zoo

Head to the LA Zoo for a number of Halloween-themed events. Bring the kids and go trick-or-treating through the zoo, watch as Lion’s, Hippos and other creates get fed pumpkins, or visit the L.A.I.R. where you’ll come face-to-face with snakes, venomous lizards and other creepy crawly creatures. Los Angeles Haunted Hayride

Known as one of the most paranormally active sites in California, the Griffith Park is once again home to the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride. Viscous clowns wait in the haunted woods, ready to jump out at you in the blink of an eye. Be prepared for a scare, and don’t say we didn’t warn you!

 

West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval

This Halloween, dress up in your best costume and head to West Hollywood to enjoy a massive free-for-all block party filled with performances, refreshments and more. A number of streets will be closed off, but be sure to hit the main drag off Santa Monica boulevard between Doheny Drive and La Cienega.
