Five Things to Do in LA this Labor Day Weekend

August 30, 2018

If you haven’t booked yourself a vacation out of town for the long weekend then saddle up and get ready to enjoy all that Los Angeles has to offer. From a century old County Fair to a giant dance party, there are plenty of options for you this Labor Day weekend.

Watch a Dodger’s Game

Come for the good vibes, beer and food and you’ll have a good time regardless if baseball is your thing or not. Start your Labor Day weekend off on the right note and head to the Friday game, where you’ll catch a breathtaking fireworks show after the LA Dodgers take on the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Rooftop Cinema Club

Grab a date and head to the Rooftop Cinema Club at LEVEL DTLA. Catch a screening of Grease on Friday or Avengers: Infinity War on Saturday. As always, there will be plenty of street food, drinks and good views to take in.

Made in LA by Golden Road Brewing

Hit up Made in LA, a music and arts festival that celebrates the Los Angeles’ culture scene. Located at Golden Road’s Los Angeles Brewery, the two-day event starts at 5pm each day and will host a number of musicians and artists while serving up fresh beer and food.

LA County Fair

Kicking off this month is the century-old LA County Fair at Fairplex in Pomona. With live music throughout, the fair will host a series of events and programs like Yoga Social, art exhibitions, a haunted house, arcade games, car shows and more. Don’t forget to try the tacos from comedian George Lopez’s new venture, Chingon Kitchen.

Dance DTLA

Now in its 14th year, The Music Center’s Dance DTLA offers an evening of dancing under the stars. Located at Grand Park, the event takes place on Friday, August 31st, from 7–11pm. Grab a few friends and get ready to shake it like a polaroid picture.
