Where to Dine in DTLA

March 12, 2015

Once a sleepy corner of Los Angeles, DTLA is now the place to be. And of course, the restaurant scene has helped put it on the map, with incredible chefs and mixologists that have kept crowds flocking. So whether you’re an LA native or new to this up and coming area, here are a few places on your must-eat list.

Regarded as one of the best restaurants in DTLA, chef Ori Menshae’s Italian fare is located in a warehouse deep in the heart of the Art District. One of the hottest reservations in town, Bestia boasts handmade pastas, pizzas, and charcuterie. The vibe is effortlessly cool, while the food is just plain delicious.

Faith & Flower

Elaborate, upscale, and chic, Faith & Flower is the quintessential cocktail lounge that’s reminiscent of a Gatsby party. Perfect for date or girls night out, try the Oxtail Agnolotti with the Pio Pico. And don’t forget to look for the hidden messages in the menu!

Bäco Mercat

At Bäco Mercat, Middle Eastern flavors muddle with Italian and American influences, creating eclectic dishes that you can’t find anywhere else. Even the namesake Bäco bread is one-of-a-kind. A combination of pizza dough, tortilla and flatbread, the bäco bread serves as a base for sandwiches, pizzas and as a side dish for sharing. In a place where lamb meatballs share the space with za’atar and carnitas, anything is possible.
