With the Arts District now home to the highest concentration of craft breweries in Los Angeles, downtown is quickly becoming a haven for brew enthusiasts, one sudsy sip at a time. Dedicated and inspired masters across the area offer it all; from time honored recipes to one-off experimental batches.
Are you thirsty yet? Well you’re in luck, as most of these breweries are just a short 10-minute Uber ride away from LEVEL Furnished Living. So without further adieu, our Guest Services team is giving you the LEVEL low down on the best breweries in downtown Los Angeles.
Arts District Brewing Co.
Skee-ball, darts, ping pong, great food and delicious beer – what more could you want? More than just a brewery, Arts District Brewing is a bona fide hotspot. Stellar brews include Traction, an IPA infused with papaya and mango, and Mateo, an easy golden ale that pairs perfectly with some comfort food from Fritzi next door. First timer? Sample the best brews they have to offer with a flight.

A small microbrewery and taproom, Mumford Brewing serves up a curated selection of cleverly named beers. From Golf Clap (a dry-hopped saison) to Black Coffee Mamba (made with Stumptown coffee), be sure to try them with the Rockenwagner pretzels.

Iron Triangle Brewing
One of Los Angeles’s larger breweries, this 30-barrel brew house is a must-visit. To start, try their signature brew, Iron Triangle Ale. Be sure to stop by on a Wednesday night for trivia night!

Angel City Brewery
With an industrial meets beer hall vibe, Angel City Brewery is the perfect spot to sip on IPAs, pilsners, lagers, and limited releases. Tacos & Trivia Tuesday’s bring friends together each week, while karaoke nights make this gathering space a place for more than just beer.

Modern Times Beer
We couldn’t be more excited for our new neighbor! This San Diego favorite will be opening in the heart of Downtown’s South Park neighborhood and just a few steps away from LEVEL! The much-anticipated open is expected some time this Fall.

Another San Diego transplant, Karl Strauss will also be finding a new home nearby. One of the original microbreweries credited for putting San Diego on the map in the craft brewing industry, the hand-crafted beer chain will be moving in, offering on-site brewing as well as a full restaurant.
