June is here, which means summer is officially on its way. In Yaletown, summer calls for several outdoor events – from sports to music to food festivals. All great ways to connect with the community around you, check out what’s happening over the next few weeks near LEVEL!


BC Lions Home Opener



On Saturday June 16th, join thousands of fans at BC Place as the BC Lions take on the Montreal Alouettes in the home opener. To celebrate the launch of the 65th season, BC Place is offering special deal which includes two touchdown end zone tickets, two regular hot dogs, and two 12 oz. Budweisers or 22 oz. soft drinks, all for $65.


Chef Meets Truck



Are you ready for the foodie event of the summer? On June 12th from 6-9 pm, the Chef’s Table Society of BC and the Yaletown BIA are hosting Chef Meets Truck at the intersection of Hamilton and Nelson Street. A collaboration between local restaurant chefs and popular food trucks, expect an evening full of delicious and creative cuisine. For $69 each, tickets include food, wine and beer samples, gin fizz cocktails, and kombucha. To purchase tickets and see a full list of participating chefs and food trucks, head to Eventbrite!


Yaletown Community BBQ



On June 13th between 12 and 2:30 pm, join the local community at the Roundhouse for a free, family-friendly afternoon. The event will feature free burgers, coffee, and Starbucks refreshers, live music, arts and crafts, and plenty of samples! Register your bike with Project 529 to avoid theft, get an assessment of your bike from Reckless Bikes, and book a blood donation with Canadian Blood Services and receive a free Yaletown t-shirt. We hope to see you there!


Let’s Hear It For Yaletown



If you work in Yaletown, or work from home at LEVEL, Let’s Hear It For Yaletown is the ideal way to break up your day. To celebrate 150 years of music in Canada, Yaletown will host five days of free outdoor jazz at the Bill Curtis Square. Happening Monday June 26th to Friday June 30th, visit the square during lunchtime and after work to experience live Canadian jazz bands. Check out the artist schedule here!
