The LEVEL Lowdown: Spring has Sprung in Vancouver

April 20, 2018

Cherry blossoms are in full bloom, the days are longer, and the temperatures are higher; it’s safe to say Spring is in full swing in Vancouver. With both LEVEL locations in the heart of Yaletown, it’s the ideal time for residents to take advantage of everything the neighbourhood has to offer!

Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival

As soon as Spring hits, pops of pale pink and white start dotting the city, as cherry blossoms begin to bloom. From April 3rd until April 29th, The Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival takes place, celebrating the reawakening in our community. With several events taking place throughout the city, from The Big Picnic to Spring Lights illumination, the photo ops are endless. Check out the neighbourhood map to see which areas are in bloom!

Get Active Outside

With both parks and waterfront within walking distance of each LEVEL location, Spring is the perfect time to get active outside. Go for a stroll through David Lam or George Wainborn Park, or hit the ground running along the False Creek Seawall. If you want to beat the summer crowds, rent a bike or rollerblades and ride along the Stanley Park Seawall.

Happy Hour, Patio Style

The best thing about brighter and warmer days? Moving happy hour out onto the patio, of course. Some of our favourites patios in the area include West Oak, Yaletown Brewing Company, TAPshack, and The Keg’s rooftop patio. Whether it’s a pint of craft beer, a refreshing glass of sangria, or a traditional caesar, enjoying it outside always makes it that much sweeter.

Cheer on the Whitecaps at BC Place

With the 2018 season now well underway, there’s at least one Whitecaps home game each month at BC Place. Just a short walk from LEVEL, the pumped-up crowd and infectious energy at these games always make it a fun way to spend an afternoon. Click here to see the upcoming schedule!
