Known for its thriving craft brewing scene, Vancouver takes its beer very seriously. While National Beer Day on April 7th makes the perfect excuse, any day is a great day for a brewery tour! We’ve mapped out an easy bike tour that takes you from LEVEL, around Vancouver’s famous seawall to stops at a few of our favourite nearby breweries!
Start by renting a a Mobi bike and riding the seawall from Yaletown to Mount Pleasant, then make your way to all five stops! We suggest parking your bike at Granville Island for your last stop and hopping on the Aquabus home, for a safe ride and great views.
With the brewhouse and cellar wrapping around their entire tasting room, Brassneck is all about transparency, and gives its patrons a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the exciting brewing process. Grab a seat in the back and enjoy one of their rotating seasonal beers, or if space is at a premium you can fill a growler to go. There’s always something new to try, with over 120 types of beer crafted on site over the last few years, so if you’re looking to experiment with something new, this is definitely the place!

Heralded by the community as Vancouver’s first craft brewery, Granville Island Brewing is a staple during any visit to Granville Island. New visitors to the retail store are welcome to take a tour of the facilities (they run three times per day) or sit back and watch the behind-the-scenes magic happen, as brewer Kevin Emms schemes up new seasonal small batch brews on site.
