What started as an idea to get Vancouverites into restaurants during a slow time of the year has now turned into Canada’s largest food and drink festival. Dine Out Vancouver first took place in 2002 with 57 restaurants. Today, it brings together hundreds of chefs and more than 200 restaurants, wineries, craft breweries, and suppliers.
In a city with so many culinary and cultural influences, Dine Out gives Vancouverites the opportunity to experience some of the best flavours in the city at a fixed-price menu. The festival also includes everything from neighbourhood food tours to lunch-hour food truck fests, and wine tastings to global guest-chef collaborative dinners. Happening from January 19th to February 4th, get ready for 17 days of exceptional dining and food-forward experiences.

Specializing in classic Italian cuisine, La Pentola’s dishes are artfully crafted using the best local and seasonal ingredients. Offering both a $30 lunch and dinner menu, as well as a $40 dinner menu, enjoy simple handmade pastas and traditional meat and seafood. Stand outs include the Grilled Flank Steak, Spaghetti All’Amatriciana, and the Duck and Radicchio Salad.
Bringing a unique and innovative approach to Japanese cuisine, Minami serves Aburi style sushi. Each piece of sushi is flame seared and infused with specialty sauces to complement the flavour properties of each fish. The result is a smokey flavour that melts in your mouth. During Dine Out, Minami offers a $30 lunch menu and $40 dinner menu showcasing several of it’s finest flavours.
Celebrating the coastal regions of the world, WildTale serves wild and fresh seafood as well as farm and field favourites. With a $30 dinner menu during Dine Out, diners have a choice between Atlantic Lobster Bisque, Organic Beet and Squash Salad, or Beef Carpaccio for appetizers. Entrees present another difficult decision: Crab Crusted Steelhead Trout, Duo of Lamb, or Braised Short Rib and Wild Mushroom Papardelle. And finally, indulge in a Bittersweet Chocolate Tart with vanilla chantilly cream – a choice you don’t have to make.
