If you’re looking for a fun spot for après-work cocktails and appetizers, The Flying Pig is a close walk from Level, and has one of the best Happy Hours in town. Boasting glasses of their house wine and Russel lager each for under $5 a glass, along with ten appetizers under $8, it’s a great spot for getting together with friends. We recommend the P.E.I. Mussels and the Truffled Mac & Cheese.

Gastown’s newest coffee shop has been one of the most highly anticipated openings in Vancouver. However, it’s more than just their amazing coffee that has everyone buzzing. Nemesis also features a selection of hot and cold breakfast, lunch and snack items. Standouts on the menu include the 3-way duck waffle and their avocado toast. You might have to wait in line to get in, but trust us, it’s well worth the wait.

A five-minute walk away from LEVEL, La Pentola is a charming spot serving up modern Italian fare. Specializing in Northern Italian cuisine, this contemporary restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere that will make you feel right at home. If you’re going with a few people, be sure to order dinner famiglia style, an off-the-menu secret that allows you to share several custom dishes.

Located just downstairs, we recommend trying their bestselling Heaven waffle. Simple but significant, this waffle is topped with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. We won’t blame you if you go back for seconds.
