The LEVEL Low Down: March in Vancouver

March 8, 2018

While Vancouver’s recent snowfall left us feeling like we were in the heart of winter, the calendar (luckily) begs to differ. With Spring only two weeks away, we’re looking forward to warmer temperatures, beautiful cherry blossoms, and exciting events around the city. With some at your doorstep, and others just outside the city, our concierge team is sharing their favourite events taking place this March.

Now in its third year in Vancouver, the HSBC Rugby 7s returns to BC Place on March 10th and 11th. With seven players a-side and seven minute halves, the fast-paced games are one of the most exciting spectator sports. Join fans as they dress up in costume and bring an infectious energy to cheer on their team.

St. Patrick’s Day

Whether you’re Irish or not, St. Patrick’s Day is always a good excuse for a celebration – especially as it falls on a Saturday this year. Whether you’re looking to start the day off on a healthy note with the St. Patrick’s Day 5K Run at Stanley Park, or would rather start if off at an Irish bar, we can guarantee the city will be painted green.

Stanley Park Easter Train

A family favourite, the Stanley Park Easter Train makes its way through the forest in search of the Easter Bunny. After the train ride, kids can enjoy several activities on site including a Bunny Burrow maze, Easter egg hunt, face painting, crafts, and carnival games. And of course, the chance to meet with the Easter Bunny himself. Open during select times leading up to Easter, be sure to check the site for dates and times.

Easter at Aldor Acres Farm

If you’re looking for a family friendly activity over Easter weekend, heading to Aldor Acres Farm in Fort Langley is worth the trek. Just under an hour drive from LEVEL, the family farm is celebrating their 30 year anniversary this year. During Easter weekend, they are offering entrance by donation with all proceeds going to Canuck Place Children’s Hospice and the Langley Memorial Hospital. From hayrides and farms tours to the always-popular petting zoo, Aldor Acres offers fun for the whole family.
