The LEVEL Low Down: Vancouver Craft Breweries

February 23, 2018

Over the past several years, BC’s craft beer scene has exploded. A great way to spend an afternoon, tasting rooms offer a space to socialize and connect while enjoying good beer and supporting local establishments. And with new breweries popping up all over the city, it can be hard to choose which to visit. That’s why our concierge team has narrowed it down to some of our favorites that are either within walking distance, or a short drive away from the furnished apartments at both Vancouver LEVEL Furnished Living locations.

One of Vancouver’s first Brewpubs, Yaletown Brewing is just a five-minute walk down the street from LEVEL. With a rotating tap that includes a seasonal selection, enjoy a pint accompanied by comforting pub food. A huge patio that’s perfect for the summer months, and cozy fireplaces for the winter make this welcoming pub a local neighborhood gem.

As Canada’s first ever microbrewery, Granville Island Brewing began crafting delicious and locally brewed beer in 1984. From classics like their Island Lager, to seasonals like the popular Winter Ale, all beer is brewed out of the original small batch brewery. Just across False Creek, hop on the Aquabus and grab a flight before exploring Granville Island.

Worth crossing the bridge for, 33 Acres is a beautiful space located just off of Main Street. Inspired by its natural surroundings, the tasting room reflects this in its simple aesthetic. With a creative naming system, each beer is called “33 Acres of” followed by a descriptive word. In addition to popular taps such as 33 Acres of Sunshine and 33 Acres of Ocean, the menu also features brunch, snacks, coffee, ice cream, and more.
