The LEVEL Low Down: Winter Activities in Vancouver

November 30, 2017

While technically it’s not winter yet, the mountains are begging to differ. Vancouver has been blessed with an early snowfall this year, which means we can get a head start on winter activities. From hitting the slopes to hiking up the North Shore mountains, LEVEL Furnished Living in Vancouver is just a short drive or seabus ride away. And after a long day in the snow, head back to Yaletown for some well-deserved Après eats and drinks.

The snow may not always stick in the city, but we’re lucky to have easy access to three local ski hills. Head up on a clear day and take in breathtaking views of Burrard Inlet as you make your way down the runs. Cypress in West Vancouver offers the most advanced runs, while Mount Seymour in North Vancouver is very family friendly. To get to Cypress or Seymour you’ll need a car, whereas Grouse is easily accessible by transportation.

Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, Vancouver’s mountains offer snowshoeing trails for every level. No experience is necessary – just bundle up in warm clothes and strap on your snowshoes. Explore the alpine terrain and take in scenic views from Grouse, Cypress, and Seymour Mountain, where you can choose between basic loops or more intense circuits. If you’ve got more time, head up the Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish, where you’ll have access to over 20 km of snowshoeing trails.
