The Ivy

Countless entertainment industry deals have been made within this cottage-like space over lunch. This infamous restaurant is bordered by a picket fence, which often has a slew of paparazzi camping out on the other side of it. Its patio is ideal to see and be seen, as many reality stars have discovered. The menu, is comprised of Southern-influenced American classics.

Giorgio Baldi

At this engaging restaurant, the owner cooks while his daughter seats customers — and they rarely meet strangers. Tuscan cuisine is the attraction, as illustrated by pasta e fagioli soup, veal Milanese, and a variety of raviolis and gnocchis. Favorite dishes include awe-inspring risottos, spaghetti with fish eggs, and dover sole dripping with lemon butter. Daily specials are always a good choice, and the wine list is extensive and variable in price. The dark chocolate torte with raspberry ice cream takes you to dessert heaven. Reservations are a must due to its intimate space. It's no wonder this establishment is a favorite with celebrities and other Hollywood types.
http://www.giorgio-baldi.com/

Grill on the alley

It is hard to believe that the Grill on the Alley is turned 30 this year, ancient by Los Angeles standards. Some of the Hollywood players who populate the restaurant at lunchtime may have made their biggest deals while nibbling on a Cobb salad or their iconic dover sole. For Hollywood historians who yearn for the now extinct Brown Derby restaurant; the Grill on the alley serves as a reasonable incarnation for the “power lunching” crowd. Everybody looks good at the Grill, which is lit in a carefully dim ambiance.

Mr. Chow

Star-studded since 1973, this undeniably chic Chinese restaurant takes tradition and injects it with a dose of LA’s celebrity energy. Catered to A-list diners, Mr. Chow’s menu—though sometimes overshadowed by the restaurant’s legendary scene—showcases house specialties such as steamed dumplings and grilled filet mignon, both with Asian-forward flavors.
http://www.mrchow.com/restaurant-beverly-hills-menu-map

Petit Trois

Petit Trois is Chef Ludo Lefebvre’s second restaurant collaboration with local culinary heroes Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo from Animal and Son of a Gun fame. The atmosphere and menu immediately transport you to a Parisian Café. Chef Lefebvre originally hails from the French countryside of Burgundy and utilizes a few of his Grandmother’s recipes such as the Escargot, which local Pulitzer prize winning food critic Jonathan Gold declares the best in all of LA (having strong completion from Church & State as well as Republique). There are no tables only bar stools along the cozily narrow space. Unlike the neighboring Trois Mec, whose ticket-only reservation policy is nationally famous, Petit Trois is accessible, open continuously from noon until 11 p.m., no reservations accepted, and it's not always as crowded as you fear it might be.

Dan Tana's

Dan Tana’s recently celebrated its 50th anniversary and over those decades, George Clooney has used the restaurant to throw a private post-Oscar bash, Liz Taylor and Richard Burton made Dan Tana's a popular dinner spot, and the staff watched Drew Barrymore grow from a baby to punk teen to America's sweetheart. The restaurant is known for its spaghetti and meatballs, chicken Parmesan and calamari fritti. It still features the red-and-white-checkered tablecloths, hanging bottles of Chianti and countless photos of its celebrity clientele on the walls. An old-fashioned cash register remains behind the bar.
